Choosing in this range

How to choose — Transparent

Transparency and brightness pull against each other: the more daylight you let through, the less surface is left to emit light. Start from where the screen mounts, not from the transparency figure.

  • Mounting decides the family. Film sticks to existing glass; strip hangs behind it; panel and kiosk are self-supporting. These are different products, not grades of one.
  • Transparency versus legibility. A shopfront that has to read in daylight and a cladding screen seen after dark want opposite ends of this range.
  • Glass load. Anything mounted on existing glazing has to be checked against the glass and the frame, not just the screen weight.
  • Pitch. Transparent screens are usually viewed from the pavement, so the distance is often longer than it feels when you are standing at the window.

10 series on this page, covering P2.5 to P10. Every figure in the tables comes from that series’ own specification sheet; where a sheet is ambiguous the page says so instead of printing a number.
