Indoor Fine Pitch LED

Below roughly P2.5 the decision stops being about pitch alone and starts being about the LED package, the flatness of the splice and how the wall gets serviced once the room is finished.

• SMD or COB. COB puts a resin layer over the diodes, so it takes knocks and cleaning better — which matters in a lobby or a studio where people touch the wall.
• Pitch by viewing distance. A control room with operators two metres out needs a finer pitch than a lobby wall people read from eight metres away.
• Front service. Fine-pitch walls are usually built tight against structure. Confirm the wall can be serviced from the front before the pitch is fixed.
• Splice flatness. Ask for the cabinet flatness tolerance — at these pitches a seam that reads fine on paper is visible on camera.
